- Burning food is a common kitchen disaster that happens often. To prevent burning your meals, set a timer or alarm for when to check your food, so there will be no more kitchen smoke alarms going off!
2. Kitchen fires are very dangerous. If not handled properly and quickly, bad things will happen. If it is a grease fire DO NOT put water on it. The grease will rise and make the fire worse! To prevent this, poor baking soda or salt on top, if a lid is not accessible. Turn off your heat source and wait for the fire to stop before continuing to cook!
3. Try your best to measure your ingredients correctly. If not, your food will taste completely different compared to what you imagined. To prevent this, follow your recipe and make sure your measuring cups/spoons are the right ones!
4. Slipping hazards are very common while cooking in the kitchen. Not wearing proper footwear can cause you to slip and fall, and that is not good while you may have boiling water on the stove or a knife on the counter that could potentially fall on the floor too! To prevent this, you should wear correct shoes and clean up spillage on the floor when it happens right away!
